The very latest Chrome beta for Android is now supporting data compression out of the box. Previously, you had to enable the feature on the experimental chrome://flags page on the device to make use of it. Now, the feature is part of the mobile browser’s settings just like any other preference there

Google SMS Search allowed users to search Google via text message. This worked by sending an SMS to a Google phone number that contained the search query. Google then responded to the query with information, again via SMS and free of charge to the user.

Office Web Apps is built into Microsoft’s SkyDrive file hosting service.  It provides SkyDrive users with access to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote right in the web app. A click on a Word document opens it in an editor like interface on the website so that you can access and edit it right from there. The feature is in this regard similar to what Google is making available on Google Docs, only that Microsoft’s implementation looks like the interface of Microsoft Office which is excellent for users who use Office on the desktop as well.
